Modern Eco-Friendly Homes Set Amongst the Trees (11 pictures)

Primeval Symbiosis (Single Pole House) is an architectural design project by architecture student and interior designer Konrad Wójcik that seeks to organically install living spaces in forests without disrupting the innate beauty of nature.

The end-goal for this idea is to create a community of these homes in natural landscapes, avoiding massive deforestation, and ultimately leaving a carbon footprint that is as close to zero as possible.

Meghalayas’ Living Bridges

Talk about sustainable, green architecture! In Meghalaya (north-eastern state of India) people construct “living bridges” by the living roots of Fig Trees. It is a truly remarkable to see people living in such harmony with nature. More of this should happen all over the world!

Habitathos is an ongoing series of “living art” body painting images completely executed on tile panels from a brazilian modernist artist called Athos Bulcão.

The project was created by Ana Siqueira (pronounced See-‘KAY-ra), a daughter of Brasília’s cerrado (Brasília being the capital of Brazil, and cerrado it’s unique vegetation) – an artist eternally grateful to her city for its stylistic influence upon her.
