There is just something about paths that, like sunsets, photographers just can’t stay away from. They appear so magical and ethereal and always have an air of mystery. When trees grow around the path, it gives the illusion that something mysterious is just beyond that bend. Clarksville Greenway, Tennessee

The Clarksville Greenway is a walking path that runs 4.6 miles along a nearby creek, providing a buffer to the river and helping to ease erosion. It is a beautiful path, lined with trees, drawing hikers for miles around.

This path leads to the Fushimi Inari-taisha shrine in Kyoto, japan. The structures that line the path are called Torii, and are gates that help to separate the profane from the sacred, the secular from the divine.
