What A Day’s Worth of Calories Looks Like In Fast Food
Business Insider recently visited 14 popular fast food chains in the United States to see what a single meal of your entire daily calorie intake would look like. Depending on your level of nutrition knowledge the results may or may not surprise you.
According to the FDA, NHS and Health Canada; the average adult should consume approximately 2000 – 2500 calories per day. This is a general guideline and your personal daily calorie intake will depend on your exact age, lifestyle (i.e., how active you are) and height/weight.

1) McDonald’s – 2,010 Calories
Bacon clubhouse crispy-chicken sandwich, large fries, mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce, Oreo McFlurry.
2) Subway – 2,010 Calories
Foot-long spicy Italian sub with cheese, a 6-inch BLT flatbread with cheese, chips, oatmeal-raisin cookie.
3) Starbucks – 2,030 Calories
Venti white-chocolate mocha, sausage and cheddar classic breakfast sandwich, dark cherry Greek yogurt, salted caramel cake pop, coffee cake.
4) Chipotle – 2,045 Calories
Steak burrito with white rice, black beans, corn salsa, sour cream, and guacamole, chips and guacamole.
5) Taco Bell – 2,080 Calories
Beef quesarito, triple-layer nachos, crunchwrap supreme, cheesy fiesta potatoes, spicy tostada, large soda.
6) Wendy’s – 2,480 Calories
Baconator, spicy chicken nuggets, large fries, small frosty, root beer.
7) KFC – 2,940 Calories
Doublicious sandwich, large popcorn nuggets, large mashed potatoes with gravy, large mac and cheese, large coleslaw.
8) Burger King – 2,990 Calories
Double Whopper with cheese, large fries, large onion rings, two oatmeal-raisin cookies, large Coke
