3D Street Art Takes Over A Chinese Village

Our understanding of China is largely a stereotype. We often think of it as a dreary Communist holdout from the Cold War, with a powerful despotic government that keeps the fun and frivolity to a minimum. But the fact is, China has changed a lot over the years and although the Communist Party of China is still in control of the government, citizens enjoy more cultural freedoms.

The best example is the village of Luoyuan where community elders commissioned colorful 3D frescoes from street artists in order to lure tourists.
