Bespoke Innovations, founded by industrial designer Scott Summit and orthopedic surgeon/engineer Kenneth Trauner, MD, creates custom fairings, which are panels that fit over existing prosthetics. They can be easily swapped out, too, so you could switch between ornate metal or leather fairings for a nice evening out and lightweight polymer fairings for more physical activities.
Depending on the materials used and the complexity of the design, fairings will typically cost between $4000 and $6000. They are really amazing pieces and it will be exciting to see how the company expands as their offerings grow and the technology progresses.
