Retro photos that were manipulated (32 pictures)

Collection of manipulated photos from the early 1800s through the mid 1900s. Because, of course, if they did not have Photoshop, photographers had to deal in a different way. They used a lot of different methods for processing images. They could also manipulate it. Most pictures were altered after the negative was exposed, through photomontage, combination printing, overpainting, retouching, or a blend of several processes. The final image differs significantly from what stood before the camera at any given moment.
