Lake Hillier, is a lake on Middle Island, the largest of the islands and islets that make up the Recherche Archipelago, Western Australia. The most notable feature of this lake is its pink colour. It is such a significant distinguishing feature of the archipelago that air passengers often take note of it. The colour is permanent, and does not alter when the water is taken in a container.

Locusts are grasshoppers with some rather unique abilities. Overcrowding triggers their instinct to literally transform themselves.They change their color from green to brown, get more muscular, eat more, mate more and congregate in crowds. After their transformation, they traverse the land searching for food, colonizing breeding grounds.
Around dozen species of locusts have been discovered so far, but only one species live in North America – the Rocky Mountain locust.
Scientifically speaking, lightning is an abrupt electric discharge from cloud to cloud or from cloud to earth accompanied by the emission of light. But for photographers it is a beautiful creation from Mother Nature.
