After The Plane Crash In Which The President of Poland Died, His Twin Brother Made A False Newspaper To Give To Their Very Sick Mother So She Wouldn’t Have To See The Real News

The disaster that killed the Polish president, Lech Kaczynski, along with scores of other dignitaries has happened in 2010. Jaroslaw, president’s twin brother (and in the same time Polish Prime Minister) decided to made a false newspaper to give to their very sick mother so she wouldn’t have to see the real news.

The newspaper has two articles on the front page – the bottom one is about the volcano Eyjafjallajokull blocking air traffic, and the top one is about the president needing to sail back to Poland due to the volcano eruption. The second newspaper gives further information about the president’s sea voyage and his meeting with President of France.

The brother of the president also took other steps to keep the illusion alive – as he was dressed in black in the period of mourning he had an extra suit in the hospital that was in lighter colours, to put on when he visited his mother.

Also, as the mother was old, and the brothers were twins and quite similar, if the mother thought she was seeing his brother in him, he went along with it and played the role of his brother in front of her.

Jaroslaw confessed her the truth about one and a half months after the disaster.
