Artist Drew 30 Self-Portraits On 30 Different Drugs

Bryan Lewis Saunders, an adventurous artist, decided to draw a self-portrait every day for the rest of his life so he could “die knowing that [he] tried to experience as much as possible when [he] was alive.”  He’s created as many as 9,930 self-portraits to date.

He has experimented with many kinds of things including tragedy, social problems, sleep, pain, and now – drugs. He experiments with both legal and illegal drugs, and once in full effect, he sits down and starts to draw.

The results from each of the different drugs are incredible. Some are psychedelic, others are bizarre, but it’s extremely interesting to take a look into the mind of someone under the influence of a particular drug that chemically affects certain parts of the brain.
