One of the things Tesla is best known for these days is the Tesla coil. The singing Tesla coil, sometimes called a zeusaphone or thoramin, is a form of plasma speaker. It is a variation of a solid state Tesla coil that has been modified to produce musical tones by modulating its spark output.
These high voltage, low current-producing devices eventually made their way into commercial products, but they’re now mostly used for entertainment purposes because they are capable of making amazing music.
