Beautiful Timelapse Created By A Proud Dad

Frans Hofmeester, Dutch photographer and director, has been filming his kids from the very start until they were into their teenage years.

‘I filmed Lotte every week from the moment she was born,’ Hofmeester explains on his website. ‘She was changing at such a rapid pace, that I felt the need to document the way she looked, to keep my memories intact.’

Then he started filming his younger son, Vince. Sometimes, he says, his subject wasn’t always an enthusiastic participant in his film project.

‘Sometimes they did not feel like it. Then I said “Just one minute. Tell me about your ball game, did you win?” That way I stalled them so I could complete the shot,’ he explains.

When you have kids, you almost feel like the time flies by. They’re growing and changing so fast! Moving and sweet, those videos are the greatest memento of childhood: something every parent wants to hold on to.
