Memolition’s 1st birthday!

Dear fans,

According to Mayans, on 21 of December 2012 there was supposed to be the end of the world. However, it didn’t stop us from starting the memolition.com on that very day. So today memolition is celebrating its first birthday.

1968 – Apollo program: Apollo 8 is launched from the Kennedy Space Center, placing its crew on a lunar trajectory for the first visit to another celestial body by humans.
1969 – The United Nations adopts the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.
1988 – A terrorist bomb explodes aboard a Pan Am Boeing 747 over Lockerbie, Scotland, killing 270 people.
2004 – Iraq War: A suicide bomber kills 22 at the forward operating base next to the main U.S. military airfield at Mosul, Iraq, the single deadliest suicide attack on American soldiers.
2010 – visible total solar eclipse.
2012 – The “Gangnam Style” videoclip reaches 1 billion views on YouTube making new world record.
Also on the 21st of December we experience the winter solstice. It is the time when the Sun appears at noon at its lowest altitude above the horizon.
