The African-American community in Chicago in 70’s (40 pictures)

The Environmental Protection Agency hired freelance photographers to capture images relating to environmental problems, activities, and everyday life in the 1970s. John H White was one of nearly one hundred photographers hired in that time. His photographs captured the spirit and struggle of the African-American community in Chicago in the early 70’s.
