The New Face of Covergirl – James Charles

Covergirl shocked the world in a good way a few weeks ago when they announced that their newest Covergirl would, in fact, be a boy! The new face of Covergirl is James Charles, a talented makeup artist who got his start on Instagram.

There has been a bit of an uproar surrounding the new CoverBoy, but it is clear that Covergirl and millions of fans of the product are excited about the new face of the brand, and so is he! James Charles is only 17 years old, but he already has 837,000 followers on instagram and over 150,000 subscribers on youtube. More than just being a young man with amazing bone structure, he is a highly skilled makeup artist with looks ranging from a simple summer glow to a bold galaxy look.

James, whose introduction to the company was announced by Covergirl’s celebrity face Katy Perry, will be starring in their new line of mascara, “So Lashy!”

Lets all be a little bit jealous that James got to have some premium one-on-one time with Katy Perry during a photoshoot for the brand, and how cute are those puppies?! But this is beside the point. James is sporting his own makeup look for the photoshoot, including fake freckles from one of his Youtube tutorials. His makeup looks are bold, brightly colored, and full of glamour!
