Nike sneakers through the decades (4 pictures)

Designer, Stephen Cheetham, put together this personal project of Nike sneakers (trainers, runners or worse ‘tennis shoes’) to show the progression and design evolution of iconic Nikes through the years. We’re postive you’ve seen many of these in your every day life, but maybe you didn’t know how old the original designs are. Just goes to show you the timeless fashion of a good looking shoe.

Vintage swimwear from the 40’s and 50’s (66 pictures)

The first bikinis appeared just after World War II. Early examples were not very different from the women’s two pieces common since the 1920s, except that they had a gap below the breast line allowing for a section of bare midriff. They were named after Bikini Atoll, the site of several nuclear weapons tests, for their supposed explosive effect on the viewer.

Amazing 3D prints made by live bees (20 pictures + video)

The introduction of 3D printing has brought about the creation of many unique constructions. The Scotch Whisky company has produced 3D prints constructed by bees. They are calling the method ‘3-B’ printing. To create sculptures, company used 80,000 honeybees. The bees created the honeycomb designs inside custom-shaped sculptures.
