A sunrise over New York City rarely looks like it over the weekend. As runners were gearing up for the New York City marathon the Sun rose over the city partly eclipsed by the Moon. The next solar eclipse visible from New York City — a very slight eclipse — will occur during the sunset of 2014 October 23.
