Could this be the first iteration of the modern-day selfie stick? Back when sticks were actual— sticks?

We couldn’t dig up more info on this photo, but according to the original uploader, it’s a self-portrait of Helmer Larsson and his wife Naemi Larsson who lived in Stöpafors, Wermland, Sweden. Helmer appears to be using a fallen branch to press the shutter button.
