The taste and aroma, aesthetics and carbination are all things to consider when choosing a bottle or draft.

Japan is known for its selection of weird foods. The Black Hot Dog is one of the most popular fast-food delicacies sold in Tokyo. It’s over 30 centimeters long and looks like it’s been cooked a few hours longer than necessary. Some people claim the buns and sausage are infused with squid ink for coloring, but according to a number of reports in the Japanese media, producers actually uses edible bamboo charcoal powder. Apparently tastes better than it looks.

Ragpickers – Environmental Heroes

Rag pickers are highly discriminated in India despite the important job they do of collecting and recycling waste material. They are victims to diseases and accidents due to dangerous items, such as broken glass, needles and explosive gas thrown in the open. The municipal corporation cannot pick up the tons of waste, which is generated in the city every day. The rag pickers fill the gap. For this work they are not paid by the city and they are not recognized as work force. They earn their living through selling dry waste to scrap dealers and earn less than US$ 2 a day.

Amnesty International awareness campaign ‘Not Here But Now’ (11 pictures)

Amnesty International in Switzerland launched an award-winning human rights awareness campaign, “Not Here But Now”, using outdoor poster s on walls in Swiss cities in June 2006. The aim of the campaign was to remind people that human rights violations were occurring within a few hours flight from Swiss cities. Swiss cities are linked with troubled zones: Gaza and Zurich, Somalia and Geneva, Israel and Basel, Iraq and Basel, China and Geneve, Liberia and Winterthur. This poster here is Gaza and Zurich.
