Anastassia Elias’ toilet paper roll silhouette sculptures (24 pictures)

Paris-based artist Anastassia Elias creates her dioramas by cutting out tiny scenes from paper and installing them inside the paper roll.

“One day I looked at an empty roll and wondered if I can do something with it,” says the artist, who usually works in the fields of illustration.

“I cut the small paper shapes that I stick inside the toilet paper rolls. I use tweezers to manipulate the paper shapes. I select the paper of the same color as the roll. It gives the illusion that the paper figures make part of the roll. I need few hours to make one piece,” says Anastassia.
