Japan’s Pedal Powered Roller Coaster

At the Brazilian-themed Washuzan Highland Park in Kurashiki, Japan, you will find the Sky Cycle, a pedal powered roller coaster that lets you soak in the panoramic views of the surrounding Seto Inland Sea.

Located over 4 stories above ground (about 50 ft or 16 m), the open air carts and lack of guard rails may give some riders pause, but the apparent lack of safety features and noticeable rust perhaps add to the excitement?

Below you will find pictures and videos of the peculiar ride.
