Pop Music Poetry. This Reading Shows How Ridiculous the Lyrics Are

Ian Martin decided to do a dramatic reading of Nicki Minaj’s song Anaconda, after he heard that his 12-year old niece and all of her friends were listening to the song. He said he made it for his Mom so she could hear how inappropriate the lyrics were for young children. [source]

The original video has been viewed over 250 million times on YouTube since being released on 19 August 2014.

The idea was inspired by Steve Allen and the Erik Satie audio track is available through YouTube’s music library.
