Bicycle Escalator Helps Cyclists in Norway Climb Hills

In the city of Trondheim, Norway lies a hill that’s big and steep enough to deter casual cyclists. To help promote cycling in the city and give the environmentally friendly activity a ‘lift’, a bicycle escalator called the Trampe was installed.

With this awesome bike escalator cyclist just places a foot on the platform and lets it push him (or her) up the hill with speed about 3-4 miles per hour.

Scandinavia is well-known for its efforts to improve quality of life so it’s not surprising they’re came up with this idea. Many people across US already wants to have such escalator in their cities.
