Andre the Giant (May 19, 1946 – January 27, 1993) was a French professional wrestler and actor.
His best-remembered acting role was that of Fezzik, the giant in the film The Princess Bride. His size was a result of gigantism (after which he suffered from acromegaly) and led to his being called “The Eighth Wonder of the World”.
